Help Them!

Rainie’s operations are dependent upon community donations (durable goods and financial) as well as a variety of grants and fundraising projects.  The involvement of numerous organizations and congregations (fundraising, clothing drives, volunteer time) has expanded Rainie’s Foster Closet to a collaborative, community effort; no longer a sole ministry of a few!  Rainie’s holds our independent 501c3 tax exempt status opening avenues for corporate donations and grants. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.

NOTE:  All group/large donations (durable goods and financial) to be reviewed and approved by Rainie’s team in advance.  Phone or text #716-465-8697 or #716-316-9043 for scheduling and capacity guidelines.

Giving Campaigns

Rainie’s Foster Closet, Inc. Annual Children’s Essentials & Gear Campaign is now accepting both physical and financial donations of NEW items—undergarments, diapers, socks, shoes/boots/sneakers, car and booster seats, mattresses, personal care necessities, and more. Children entering Foster/Kinship care often arrive with little more than the clothes on their backs; items that are frequently the wrong size, seasonally inappropriate, or simply inadequate. To put this in perspective: imagine not having a clean diaper or underwear for your child, asking your pre-teen daughter to wear a stranger’s bra, or strapping your toddler into a “hand-me-down” car seat without knowing if it’s been misused or in an accident.  Your donation, whether financial or physical, helps ensure no child goes without the basic essentials needed to be safe, healthy, and warm.

♥ Rainie’s Linking Lives Initiative is about more than events—it’s about connection. Families in Foster/Kinship care often feel isolated, carrying heavy responsibilities that many around them don’t fully understand. Our initiative creates spaces where those families can come together, share laughter, and feel seen. At our Easter Egg Hunt & Breakfast, kids dash for brightly colored eggs while parents swap stories over coffee. During our Breakfast with Santa, children light up as they receive stockings and presents—whether fostered or biological, every child in the household is celebrated equally. These moments of joy weave bonds that last long after the event ends. But Linking Lives reaches beyond the families themselves. Through our Community Awareness & Outreach Campaign, we “Get the Word Out” to teachers, support staff, churches, agencies, and community members who can make a difference. By raising awareness of the real needs Foster/Kinship families face, we open doors for action—whether that means connecting someone with resources, inspiring a new foster parent, encouraging a volunteer, or sparking generosity. In the end, Linking Lives is about more than programs—it’s about people. One life connecting to another, one story touching the next, creating a stronger community where Foster/Kinship children know they are valued and never alone. You can be part of this connection—through a financial gift that sustains our work, or by volunteering your time to bring these moments of joy to life. Together, we can Link Lives today, tomorrow, and into the future.

What Our Families are Saying

I am a foster mom and was so pleased with all the stuff they gave me for my foster girls!

Joann B.

As a new foster mom, I was worried about getting everything my new placements wanted and needed. Yesterday I had the amazing pleasure of taking my 10-year-old foster daughter to let her “shop” and everyone was extremely kind, patient, and helpful. I got some much-needed things for her baby brother as well. I am extremely grateful for them and their services. It made my foster daughter’s day to pick out things she actually likes. Thank you so much for your help and for going above and beyond!! I will be sure to share your services with other foster parents!

Kris Rose B.

I needed some help with my grandkids due to personal reasons (my son got full custody, and we didn’t have many clothes for them and no sneakers). I was told to try to message Rainie’s Closet, and they let my grandkids and me come in and get some clothes and other needed items that were much appreciated. The clothing is well cared for and there is a good amount to choose from in each size. Everything was neat and clean and the ladies that were there were all very welcoming and helpful. They kept the kids busy and helped me with picking out items. I definitely recommend that you contact them if you are a foster parent or just got custody of children and are in need.
